My Fitness Journey

My fitness journey starts today!

You may have noticed a new page added to the blog, this is going to be my journal. My theory is, if I have to share it with the world, it will make me more motivated to succeed!

I'm in no way ashamed of my body. I have carried four beautiful children and am proud of who I am physically. But for my own personal goals, I want to be able to lose the weight that I have gained, I want to reach my goals that I have set for myself and I want to live a healthier lifestyle so that I can overcome the dreaded fainting!!!

Join me in this journey and I would love to hear what you are doing too! Let share a love of fitness and lose the weight together!

  1. Hi! I'm Jeanne from Life in Cleveland - one of your Tribe from SITS. I just started a fitness journey as well. I"m probably not going to post much about it but the reasons are all the same as yours! I had my third child in June and it's time to get back to some sortof physical activity. Nice to know that someone is sharing the journey! So nice to meet you!

    1. Hi Jeanne, thank you so much for taking the time to write to me! It's a great feeling to put a plan in place. I wouldn't classify us as a weighty family, but of late lazy would be a good description. I want my family to active, not obsessive! It is a wonderful feeling knowing I'm not alone! It was a pleasure to meet you too!

  4. I love this! I think too many people take their good health for granted, but it's so important to make strides to improve our health while our kids are young - to set an example and model healthy behavior. I started on a fitness journey last year, but I've been a little bit derailed by my current pregnancy. It definitely has helped make this my healthiest pregnancy, though! I can't wait to follow along on your journey - you are going to do great!

    1. Thank you Mary Ann! Yes it was my pregnancy that put me back 10 steps, but due to the migraine diet I was extremely restricted to what I could eat so I too didn't put on too much weight. But this year I am feeling good and focused, even though I expect many bumps along the way, I know what it's like to achieve a goal so I am very keen!! Thanks for your lovely feedback and I look forward to getting to know you better too!

  5. I am right there with you! Today was my first ever Weight Watchers meeting. I reached my goal weight w/ WW Online last summer, but gained it back by not sticking to it. I signed up for 3 5Ks this spring. . .so here we go! I am proud of you, and glad I am part of your tribe!
